AHSAA state-record 92-yard punt

Jonathan Kilgo of Gadsden City is shown kicking an AHSAA state-record 92-yard punt in the Titans’ recent game with Park Crossing. He had two kicks for a 66.5 average in the game, also a state record. He also had 67-yarder in another game this season. For his career he has 60 punts for 2,484 yards and a 41.4-yard average and is 15-of-19 on field goals with a long of 46. Jon also rolled a perfect 300 game in the 2016 AHSAA state bowling championships, the only perfect game in AHSAA state tournament history. The 92-yard punt ties nationally as fifth beat all-time. Five others have accomplished that feat with Jack Rogers of Frankton (IN) kicking a 92-yarder in 2016. The national record is 99 yards, held by three kickers but first accomplished by Walter Williams of Mesa HS (Arizona) in 1925.
